Principal's Message

I am super excited and deeply honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Oakdale Elementary School! It is with great enthusiasm that I join this wonderful community, and I look forward to the incredible journey ahead.

I bring with me 13 years of experience in education, having served as a reading specialist, interventionist, and most recently, assistant principal. My passion has always centered around literacy, student success, and creating strong, supportive school communities.

My vision for Oakdale is to be a place where students feel like part of a family and are excited each day to explore, learn, and grow.

I want every child to feel safe, valued, and inspired to be their very best.

Equally important, I am committed to ensuring that our teachers feel supported, appreciated, and genuinely enjoy coming to work because when teachers thrive, students soar.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, reading, and writing. I’m also proud to be the author of Listen Up, Buttercup, a children’s book that encourages self-confidence and teamwork.

As we look ahead to the new school year, I am confident this will be our best year yet. I believe in the power of collaboration between school and home, and I look forward to partnering with all to make Oakdale an even greater place to learn and grow.
