"When in doubt go to the library"

-J.K. Rowling

My name is Robin Hendricks, and I am the school librarian. The Oakdale Elementary School Library serves as the central hub of our school and provides our students with opportunities to participate in high quality reading engagement. Students are able to access the library for scheduled weekly reading lessons across all grade levels, and they also have access to an open and flexible circulation schedule. Our library achieved Exemplary Library Status in 2019.

The mission of the Oakdale Elementary School Library is to engage student’s in active learning, prepare them to be life-long learners, and to help them develop the necessary skills that are needed to become information-literate and to navigate the 21st Century.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns, by email at rhendricks@tusc.k12.al.us or by phone (205) 759-3626.
